Scanners tell you what's good but not how much you ate. Calorie counters count everything but can't tell a cola from a salmon fillet. Nutrition Counts does both - use one part, or all three together.
Action, not just data: every score comes with a swap, every day with a next step, and every week with three small actions.
Scan
Scan a barcode or search any food - from supermarket own-brands to a banana - for a clear score out of 100, every additive explained, and a better swap from the shops you use.
Plan
Set daily calorie and protein targets with safe limits built in, see a realistic goal date, and choose an eating style that suits you.
Track
Log your day and see how much you ate and how good it was - plus a weekly score that shows what lifted your week, and three small actions for the week ahead.
Not all calories are equal
Calorie counters treat 100 calories of fizzy drink the same as 100 calories of fruit. Nutrition Counts also shows the quality of your day: how much of it came from great or good choices, and how much was highly processed.
Today's quality of calories
74% of your calories came from great or good choices.
21% were highly processed.

How we score food
Every score is made of three parts, shown separately so you can see exactly why a food scored the way it did. The method is published in full and based on official government models and regulator sources.
Nutrition
60%Based on the UK government's nutrient profiling model - a published model used to regulate food advertising - and front-of-pack traffic-light thresholds. The same rules apply to every food, wherever you shop.
Processing
30%We look for specific signs of industrial processing, like flavourings, emulsifiers, sweeteners and modified starch, and show you exactly which ones we found.
Additives
10%We only flag an additive where a regulator or official body has raised a specific point - and we link to the source. No scare stories.
A lower score doesn't mean a food is unsafe - everything on sale where you live has to meet food safety law. Our scores help you compare foods; they aren't medical advice.
Free for good. Nearly here.
Most people will never need to pay. To keep it free we may show an occasional, clearly labelled ad, at most once a week - and nothing we show ever changes a food's score. If you choose to, Plus adds an AI coach for your own week, photo meal logging, meal plans, targets that learn from you and no ads at all - and every new account gets it free for 14 days, no card needed.
